I moved to Canberra 4 years ago from the Shoalhaven area where I founded a cleaning business and worked in Crisis Accomodation and mental health. I operate as a Support Worker in the ACT which occasionally includes dog walking which I love. My wife and I did a whole week of looking after a couple of poodles full time and loved the assignment. I also occasionally care for a hybrid kelpie and cavoodle my sister owns. I've grown up with Dachshunds, beagles, labradors and was great friends with a Great Dane from next door. My wife and I also reared a lovely Tortoise shell kitten who was kidnapped and traumatised. When overseas we also cared for a severely traumatised Springer Spaniel called Poppy who was abused and kept in a confined space for a few years.  

I like the challenge of learning the different personalities that pets truly have and the patience needed to build trust. I have a lot of patience, am quite fit, do regular resistance work and able to handle 2 or 3 dogs at once. I have a van that could fit a few dogs and am interested in building a dog walking portfolio as well as doing welfare checks on animals. There are a few good local parks in the Farrer area where I live which is near some leash free areas in Tuggerenong and Yarralumla 8kms away.
