UPDATE
– 19 SEPTEMBER, 11.30am update
Bugs Fixed (in no particular order):
- Some Pet Sitter Profiles were appearing as a 404 error.
– All Pet Sitter Profiles should now be displaying properly.
- Pet Sitters were having difficulty completing signup.
– All Pet Sitters can now sign up without being pestered by bugs.
- Prices were not always displaying correctly in “Booking Details”/”Payment Details”.
– All prices are now properly reflected.
- Search Results were displaying Pet Sitters for services they don’t provide.
– The algorithm now correctly connects service queries with the right Pet Sitters
- Several bugs existed within the mobile app.
– Pet Owners can now pay using PayPal and promo codes.
– App search filtering is now working correctly.
– Sitters and Owners can now select dates when modifying a booking.
– Pet Sitters’ Cancellation Policies are now visible on their Profiles via the app.
– Sitters and Owners can now select the correct reason when cancelling a booking.
– Sitters and Owners with older Androids can now update their apps.
– 10 SEPTEMBER, 10.50am update
Bugs Fixed (in no particular order):
- Pet Sitters could not update personal details.
– You can update your personal details in the Profile tab or in your Account-Overview. - Pet Sitters response rate was not correct
– Your response rate is now accurate to your response to booking performance. - Sign Up via Facebook–
– Members of the Mad Paws Community can now sign in and sign up via Facebook without issue. - Pet Sitters appearing for services they do not offer
– You are now correctly showing for services you offer. - Booking Price Discrepancy
– The booking price is now correct according to your price per service. It also includes surcharges you may charge for additional services during each booking. - Calendar Date & Day is not correct
– If you are using the mobile app, by downloading the latest version your Calendar will be correct in your Personal Profile tab and in the public section that is viewed by a Pet Owner. If problems persist, try uninstalling an reinstalling the app. - Receiving Testimonials
– You can now receive testimonials without issues.
Search Ranking Update
The new search algorithm takes into account reviews, badges, response rates, response times, and location. Of these factors, location is the chief focus. The closer a Pet Sitter is to the search suburb, the higher they rank. This has been done in response to feedback from both Pet Owners and Pet Sitters. It was previously a major pain point for Pet Owners when searching for a Pet Sitter close to their home during peak periods. This, in turn, was leading to a high number bookings not being processed.
We have rolled these changes out across Australia. Over the coming months, we will continue to make minor changes to improve the success rate of all members of our Community.

Good evening, pet lovers!
Well, it’s been a CRAZY few days. When we first re-launched the website on
Friday morning, we unearthed a few bugs. Instead of depriving you of access to
Australia’s largest Pet Sitting community, we reverted to the old website while
we ironed out the kinks.
After a weekend of kink-ironing, bug-squashing, and other tech wizardry, we
have some good news. The revamped website is scheduled to be launched tonight. We expect some downtime but please check back in a few hours time. In the meantime, you can check in here to get updates on our progress. If you have an urgent query regarding an upcoming booking, please email us at service@madpaws.com.au
Once its live we invite you to log in, have a look around, and familiarise yourself with the new
layout. This website is still brand new, so if you find anything that doesn’t work,

It’s been a crazy exciting night here at Mad Paws HQ! We’re in the final stages of migrating to our new platform, and are aiming to be back online before 9am. Sorry if this has caused any issues – but our revamped website will be with you soon!

Due to the relaunch of our website and mobile app, our website will be offline between 10pm on Thursday 23 August and 4am on Friday 24th (AEST).
If you have have a booking currently underway, we suggest you keep your booking details on hand or you can find contact details in your email if the booking has been paid for.

ANNOUNCEMENT
– 2 AUGUST 2018
Since the beginning of Mad Paws, our main priority has been to connect Pet Owners with caring Pet Sitters around Australia. Over the years we’ve been in touch with Owners, Sitters, and even pets (yes, seriously) to learn how we can better improve the Mad Paws experience.
In response to this, we have decided to re-launch both our website and mobile app.
This new website and mobile app will provide you with a more user-friendly and intuitive experience. Whether you’re a Pet Sitter, a Pet Owner, or a pet, you’ll be able to get the most out of this amazing pet-loving community.
During the re-launch, our website and mobile app will be offline between 10pm on the 23rd and 4am on the 24th of August (AEST). During this time, we will be working to assist with queries and answer any questions.
In the meantime, you can know that a better, faster, and more streamlined service will be waiting for you on the other side.
