Here at Mad Paws, we’re not shy about our love for pets. It’s no surprise, then, that our office is no stranger to furry friends. Last year, we hosted 13 dogs in our office for Take Your Dog to Work Day (a feat we’ll be looking to top this June). What many people don’t realise, though, is that we host dogs in our office on a daily basis. To ensure that we live the Pet Sitter lifestyle every day, we’ve turned our workplace into an office Doggy Daycare.
For us, the office Doggy Daycare bookings aren’t about the money. We donate the money from each office booking to charity, and our staff get to spend their days with pooches. The result? Happy workers, happy charity, and happy dogs!
Why the dogs love Office Doggy Daycare
If you’re reading this blog, you likely already know how social dogs can be. Beyond feeling the urge to spend their time around people, most dogs will go crazy if left alone all day. By contrast, every day in Office Doggy Daycare is a chance for them to play with their human friends. From start to finish, Mad Paws staff throw tennis balls from their desk, give belly rubs on demand, and clamour to take the furry guests outside for regular walkies. At the end of each day, when the pups return to their Owners, they’re de-stressed, happy, and ready to cuddle.
Why our staff love Office Doggy Daycare
Forget yoga, chamomile tea, and meditation retreats – when it comes to busting stress, pets are where it’s at. Studies have proven that the presence of pets can banish human stress, and after a year of conducting our own research, we’re inclined to agree.
Trust us: if you’re breath is turning shallow at your desk, try staring into the soulful eyes of a Labradoodle. Seriously, try it. We’ll wait here.
Why Pet Owners love Office Doggy Daycare
Imagine this: you’ve been at work for 10 hours, stuck in traffic for two, and you haven’t eaten since lunch. The moment you return home, all you want to do is microwave some dinner and browse Netflix. The only problem is, you first need to walk your dog, play with them, and ensure they’ve relieved themselves.
With Office Doggy Daycare, you can relax at the day’s end while still meeting the needs of your pooch. As they’ve been cavorting around all day, they don’t require nearly as much evening exercise. They’ll just be happy to see you – which means you can chill while still basking in your pup’s love!
In short, pet daycare in the office works for everyone. If your workplace is dog-friendly, try taking your pooch with you the next time you need to clock on.
To which charities should we donate our future Office Doggy Daycare fees? Let us know in the comments section!
Would you like your furry friend to enjoy the benefits of Doggy Daycare, but don’t live near our Pyrmont office? Well, we have good news: there are Pet Sitters across Australia who can care for your pet during the day. In Perth, Hobart, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, and everywhere in between, we have pet daycare options for you.

Ebony from Footscray had my Pug Harry for day care whilst I recovered from a stay in hospital.I was absolutely thrilled with Ebony looking after my dog. She bonded with him immediately which was such a relief for
me . Harry bounded to the front gate every morning when he heard her car. It goes without saying I would always choose Ebony to look after Harry.
We have recently bought a caravan for our family and realised how easy it is to bring our furry family member with us… most of the time! While booking on an all day (non dog friendly) encounter we asked the tour operators if they knew of any local dog sitters, they brought Mad Paws to our attention. I downloaded the app and found the most amazing lady to help us out and look after our dog for the day.
We will definitely use Mad Paws for all our dog sitting needs in the future. Thanks so much!
