Why do you love being a Mad Paws Pet Sitter?
We love meeting all the different breeds of dogs we would never have encountered if we weren’t Pet Sitters. We’re also grateful for the lovely friendships we have made with both pets and their Owners. Mad Paws is a great way of getting involved in your local community.
What’s your favourite thing to do with your furry clients?
It’s hard to choose a favourite. With doggos, going to the park and letting them play with all the other dogs is always entertaining. It’s also fun to just let the pup follow their nose and take you to new places.
All the cats and rabbits we’ve looked after have been super affectionate! It’s always nice to have a play and a cuddle.
Mostly, though, our favourite thing is doing a great job looking after people’s furry friends. It’s just a bonus that we can get to know all the fluffers in the process!
What was the first pet you ever owned? Do you own pets now?
Carson: A cat called Smokey Jack. He’s definitely not quite as affectionate as the cats we’ve met through Mad Paws. He was a very independent little guy, which is probably the reason I’m more of a dog person now.
Do you have a particularly fond memory from your Pet Sitting experience?
Waking up Christmas morning to four dogs on the bed and watching them unwrap their Santa presents.
What’s your one top tip for new Pet Sitters?
Be in it for the right reasons. We’ve loved every minute sitting because we both adore animals!
