What were you doing before Mad Paws?
I was working at a company called BrickX, which is a fintech company that helps people get into property investment. Mine was quite a generalist role, and saw me working on email marketing, content writing, and product. I was also studying at uni at the same time, where I majored in Finance & Business Analytics and Psychology.
What do you love most about working at Mad Paws?
As others have said, I love working beside Charli the Labradoodle! Seeing her is always a major mood-booster. I also love the fact that the team is so friendly.
Tell me about something special you have on your desk
I know it’s strange, but I have an AirPods “case case”. Everyone makes fun of me for having a case for my case, but I like it. A friend gave it to me; it’s made in shape of a pearl milk tea drink, because I LOVE pearl milk tea. Other than that, I also keep a large stack of Post-It notes, because I like writing to-do lists. The act of ticking off an item when I complete it is very satisfying.
What do you spend your weekends doing?
Beyond finishing my uni studies, I like to spend my spare time hiking. My friends and I are also really into brunch, and enjoying different cuisines. If I had to choose, I’d say my favourite types of food are Korean BBQ and Japanese.
What do you have as the background image on your phone?
It’s a picture I took of the Tower Bridge in London. Earlier this year, I went on a short-term exchange to the London School of Economics, which was a really fun experience. Of course, while I was there, I needed to take a photo of the Tower Bridge!
If you could Pet Sit any animal, what would it be?
I recently saw this guy on Instagram who lives with lions as part of their pride. I couldn’t help but think: “if I didn’t die, that would be really interesting.” Besides, my Chinese Zodiac sign is the tiger, so I feel like I have a connection with big cats.
