Sunday 9th April was an exciting day for the Mad Paws Pack as we hosted our first community event in Blenheim Park, Sydney. It was amazing to see so many of you down there and if you couldn’t be there, don’t worry – you can find out all about what happened now!
We had an incredible day, starting bright and early with the Channel 7 Sunrise team coming to report live from the event during the course of the morning! It was great to meet James and the team and we had lots of fun but now know why people in showbiz say never work with animals after Darcy spat out our handmade carob easter egg live on air! Typical!
From the moment the event began, we had an absolute blast! We loved getting to put faces to names of some of our existing owners and sitters and spreading the word about our amazing community to new people! The day was full of treats and wagging tails from dogs of all shapes and sizes! We even had some clever pooches on two legs joining us for the day!
Whether they were super skilled or just a really good at giving it a go, lots of the puppers had a go on our agility equipment – with varying degrees of success! One thing’s for sure though, it kept the humans entertained to watch dogs of all breeds testing their skills! We’re not sure who got the loudest cheers – the ones who were successful or those who tripped and rolled!
Many of our party guests enjoyed striking a pose in Pawtrait Corner with the help of some props! Lots of whistling and bribing with treats got the pooches looking in the right direction as the camera flashed!
The tent for free nail clipping from our friends at PETstock had a queue all day long! Our Blys masseuse was giving free massages to our human guests, although some plucky pooches did their best to get involved! A doggy celebration cake from Sparkle Cupcakery in Sydney certainly set mouths drooling!
All in all, we had an absolutely fantastic day and it seems our party guests did too. We’re really looking forward to organising our next event and you’ll be the first to know when we do!
Remember, if you’ve got your own parties to go to, book a Mad Paws sitter for your pet!
