This Mad Paws family started their pet sitting journey as a way for their dog Lucy to meet new pooches and as some extra company for Wayne, who works from home. They’re now top Mad Paws pet sitters and have looked after all kinds of dogs!

What made you become Mad Paws sitters?
A few things! We wanted to socialise Lucy (our dog) and some company for my husband who works from home. We have the space with safe varied environments across the property which means we can give pet owners peace of mind when they leave their fur babies. No one enjoys leaving their pet in kennels!
What is your favourite thing about being Mad Paws sitters?
The variety of breeds and the individual personalities of each guest always keeps us entertained and watching our guests adapt to the new environment bring so much joy to our family. It’s also lovely to see the owners’ sigh of relief when they leave their fur babies. Other perks of being a Mad Paws sitter are the snuggles, chats and lap dog training we offer our guests and the interesting journey, meeting owners and pets alike.

How do you keep owners coming back time and time again?
We really do provide what we promise. We make sure every owner and pet receives a warm welcome and we don’t rush the owners through the drop off and collection of their fur babies.We spend time with our owners and guests earning their trust in doing so we spend time showing off the loving, safe and spacious adventure based caring environment we have on offer, which is guaranteed to entertain our guests! Our home is open plan allowing an easy transition from indoors to out. Our goal is for pets to experience our love and the adventure the retreat offers.
Do you have any particularly memorable house guests?
All of our guests provide us with wonderful unique memories. Perhaps our most memorable guest would be our very first guest, Beau. Beau had an absolutely wonderful time staying with us. We loved spoiling him on his birthday and provided him a poolside party with a bone cake. Beau made full use of our tropical swimming pool and provided Lucy with a new friend!
