We humans love a good long weekend – so why shouldn’t our furry friends? After all, they have THREE WHOLE DAYS in which to walk, frolic, cuddle, and play with their Owners or Sitters. And if you don’t believe dogs relish long weekends as much as we do, don’t worry. Thanks to the efforts of some top Mad Paws Pet Sitters and Owners, we have photo evidence.
Courtesy of our pet-loving community, here are eight pics of pooches blissing out over the long weekend. Enjoy!
“Raise your hands for the long weekend! Oh…uh…or paws, okay.” This Border Collie is ready to raise the roof!
This Moodle may be small, but his desire to spend the long weekend playing soccer with his Sitter is HUGE.
“My ears are perking up. Did someone say ‘LONG WEEKEND’??”
Thought Chow Chows were quick to mask their feelings? Think again. The poise of this regal pup is a thing of weekend wonder: white coat, purple tongue, ready to have some long weekend fun!
Truth time: when we first used the phrase “blissing out”, this Golden Retriever was our inspiration. We don’t know on what spectral plane of joy this pooch is dwelling, but we want to be there.
These Labradoodles have clearly fused their long weekend excitement with their passion for the French Open. Now, we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, but we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw one of these two pooches on the clay next year.
This noble pup knows that long weekends are best spent with friends – even when that friend is…a moose dressed as the Riddler? We’re not entirely sure, but one thing’s for certain: this dog is LOVING the holiday.
We asked this furry friend how much he was enjoying the long weekend. His response: “THIIIIIIIS much!”
Apparently, some dogs like to measure their excitement with their tongues.
And for folks who feel sad the long weekend is almost over, this kitty’s face says it all.
