Can I decline bookings?
Yep! You are well within your rights to decline a booking for a number of reasons. What’s important is that you respond to all booking requests in a timely manner, whether you choose to accept or decline them.
Can I choose what bookings I accept?
To ensure you receive the most compatible requests, we suggest you regularly update your calendar, showcase your skills on your profile and always do a Meet & Greet.
How does Mad Paws protect me?
Mad Paws has several protections in place for Pet Sitters, including Public Liability Insurance activated for every booking paid through Mad Paws. You can read all about our insurance on the Accident Cover Page.
What fees does Mad Paws charge?
Mad Paws collects a 20% fee on each booking which covers insurance, customer support, marketing, product improvement and much more. An Owner fee also applies to each booking which doesn’t impact your earnings.
What does being a Pet Sitter entail?
Being a Pet Sitter is about caring for someone else’s pets as if they were your own. Pet Owners choose Mad Paws because of the personalised approach their fur baby receives.
As a Pet Sitter on the Mad Paws platform, you’ll receive direct enquiries from Owners in your area. It’s up to you to ask questions, read the pet profile and organise a Meet & Greet to determine if it’s right for you – then simply accept or decline the booking.
What is a ‘normal’ pet sitting job?
You define what your own ‘normal’ is. Mad Paws offers the flexibility for you to choose the type of pet, duration of booking, type of booking (overnight services, day services etc), price and more.
Is there any commitment to complete a certain number of bookings?
Not at all, consider this like your own small business. You choose your own hours, pricing, and what bookings you are willing to take on. You can pause your availability at any time.
